A 20-year-old student of the University of Lagos has accused her lecturer, Dr. Samuel Ojogbo, of raping her in his office on August 22, 2025.
She reported the matter to the police a few days later and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
UNILAG management confirmed they are aware of the case. The school has set up a panel to investigate, while also giving the student support through its Safeguarding Centre.
The lecturer is now under investigation, and the university has promised to make the findings public.
