Nollywood star Osas Ighodaro has opened up about her very first on-screen kiss in Nigeria, and she described it as one of the most uncomfortable moments of her career.
Speaking on The Culture League podcast, the actress said she already knew the script involved a kiss, but what happened on set caught her completely off guard.
“My first on-screen kiss in Nigeria threw me off. I knew it was in the script, but the way it happened wasn’t what I expected,” she explained.
According to Osas, the actor went too far by forcing his tongue into her mouth without any discussion or agreement beforehand.
She described the act as unprofessional and disrespectful, stressing that intimate scenes should always involve proper communication so both actors are comfortable.
Osas admitted that the experience was her first rude shock in Nollywood and a lesson about the importance of boundaries in the movie industry.
Moral Lesson: Whether in movies or real life, respect and communication are everything. Crossing boundaries without consent can ruin trust. Some say Nollywood needs strict rules, others believe it’s just “part of acting.” But what do you think — should actors be free on set, or should there always be limits?
