My name is Blessing Daniel, I’m 27 years old, from Benue State, but I live in Surulere, Lagos. I’m a single lady, managing a small fashion shop to take care of myself.
Last year, I went for a big concert in Lagos. The place was filled with music, celebrities, flashy cars, and so much excitement. I only went there to enjoy myself, nothing more.
But that night, I met a man who looked confident and wealthy. He approached me with a smile and said, *“You’re too beautiful to be standing here alone.”* His words swept me off my feet. He kept talking, sounding so convincing, and I allowed myself to trust him. After some time, he asked me to follow him to his car.
Inside the car, one thing led to another. He promised me so much — that he would take care of me, that my life would change, that he would even support my business. At that moment, I believed him and gave in.
But the next day, everything changed. He ignored my calls, my texts, and acted like I never existed. All the promises were just empty words. I felt used, abandoned, and worthless.
Now, I regret it deeply because I allowed excitement and sweet lies to control my decision.
Lesson learned: Sometimes what looks glamorous at night turns into pain in the morning. Ladies, please don’t let temporary pleasure or fake promises push you into something that may break your heart tomorrow.
